Many Meetings is the ninth song on Canadian composer Howard Leslie Shore's soundtrack for the Lord of the Rings. His music evokes the haunted beauty of the Elves, "the homeliness of the Hobbits, the recollections of times past, the hope for the future, the melancholy at the realization of what has happened and what must yet be accomplished, a shining light at the end of a journey, but above all the simple unspoken belief that there is good worth fighting for.
