Telegraph Garden gold at Chelsea

A detail of the garden.
Sarah Price's Telegraph Garden at the Chelsea Garden Show was awarded the Gold medal. Sarah looks from a distance to be about fifteen, but she's 32 and a thoughtful gardener.
The garden is an evocation of the British countryside, its flowers, woods, streams and rocky hillsides. “It is inspired by many walks and family picnics, especially on Dartmoor and in the Black Mountains,” says Sarah. “I want to distil some of the atmosphere of those wild and mysterious places, and try to capture the magic of those sudden encounters you get with wild flowers, which might be cowslips in a field or daisies in a London street.”
