Gardening makes us more generous
There must be exceptions.
It's true that quite a few people in Britain garden and there are thousands of British charities supported by millions of Brits. But is there really a connection between gardening and giving, or is the significant fact simply they're British?
On our lane, the most determined gardener is Di, a woman generous with her energy and money and a fountain of information, besides. But is her generosity due to gardening? Di is a complex person, a musician who sings and plays the cello, a wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. Bless her.
