Voters see a new road ahead
Eleven thousand voters took a U-turn in the Eastleigh by-election. They voted for UKIP, a party which stands for Britain's freedom from the European Union's financial, legal, and social demands. They almost sent the europhile Lib-Dems packing. Once again, UKIP did not win the election, but the numbers of their supporters are a sign that 'the times they are a-changin'.
However, Daniel Hannan identified a big pothole--more people than not voted for parties which have shown some skepticism about the EU, but because their vote was divided, the Lib-Dems won.
