No one is above the law
The Prime Minister is being questioned over cash for honours accusations. The Lords are a bit like Senators in the United States, so paying to become a Lord is like being able to buy a Senate seat with a cash contribution to the Republicans or Democrats.
I was afraid that the principle that no one is above the law – established in 1100 in the Charter of Liberties and again in 1215 in Magna Carta – might be overlooked in this case. However I learned today that Mr Blair was questioned by the Metropolitan Police.
