What the British people want from their new PM today
According to Iain Murray, reporting in National Review on a YouGov poll, they want,
Reduction in immigration - 60%
Bring the troops home from Iraq - 49%
Improve the National Health Service - 37%
Easier deportation of terrorist suspects - 30%
Increase state pensions by increasing taxes - 22%
The sample size was 1962. Of these, 38% intended to vote Conservative; 34%, Labour; 15% Lib Dem; 14% Other.
