I'd like to add the impressively-sized scientist Ernest Rutherford, who discovered that the electrons of an atom orbit its nucleus. Explaining to a critic why the lighter electrons fly around the heavier nucleus, Rutherford, a big man with bright blue eyes, boomed, “When you’ve got an elephant and a flea, you assume it’s the flea that jumps.”
