Brighton Tea Party
Taking a leaf from colonials in America, Daniel Hannan brought 300 tea partiers together in Brighton to protest sky-rocketing government spending and taxes and the wholesale interference in ancient British rights and liberties. The turn-out was standing room only.
I hope they avoid becoming entangled with any political party.
If they truly look at the example of fellow British subjects of two hundred-plus years ago, they will note that they created a splash because they were willing to engage in acts of outdoor civil disobedience. Just a thought.
